My Review:
First of all, this sunscreen was developed by Ramón (@glowbyramon) , a cosmetic chemist and content creator who HAPPENS to be a good friend of mine. However, I will put my biases aside as best I can for this review. This stick is really nice!! The finish is definitely matte and silky, but you will still feel the stick on your skin. This didn’t sting my eyes either. However, the mattifying agent in this is silica, which is notorious for leaving a cast on darker skin tones. The cast on this one is very minimal, but it is present a little. When I swipe this on my face, I can see a silica trail that it leaves behind. The silica also pools in my eyelids as the sunscreen settles, giving a white eyeliner look. These issues are both easily fixed by rubbing the sunscreen in, but it’s something to note. This also did pill on me, but that’s a personal issue. Overall, I’m so proud of my friend for launching a sunscreen and I think this will work well for the vast majority of people, especially if you have a minimal routine, but the silica can pose a problem for some people with darker skin tones.
My Rating: 2/3
